Focus st bonnet wont open?

i have a 2007 ford focus st and the bonnet wont open i put the key in and turn it both ways but nothing happens but it was fine the day before i have warrenty on it and took it in to ford but they said to bring it in and they will sort it but they cant tell me if thats coverd by the warrenty till they have fixed it..any one have any advice
