I rewrote the 10 commandments. Why are these so important to God and which bigger element do they hint at?

God has forgotten the sins of mankind that He has already kept His laws to Himself (and our heart where His spirit is) after the salvation made by Christ Jesus. He has given instead free will to cleanse our souls on our own with an advice to love one another as He has loved us.
