Mk 6 2004 fiesta, plastic bonnet release has snapped off, how do I get bonnet open?

Behind where the release lever is, if you can get your hand on the cable, give the cable housing a pull. Unless the end of the center cable has snapped off (which is unlikely) that will pull the center cable out of the housing and pull the release on the bonnet.
