What kind of snake is this?

We killed a snake and we don't know what kind it is. It's about 4-6 feet long, red, and white rings, and a black head, the tail is red and white checkered and about 1/8th of an inch(the tail), and it doesn't have fangs(that we know of). We have searched Gopher, corn, copper, and none look like it, please help! Thanks
