Photoshop CS5 question?? file open question.?

The checkered image in Photoshop indicates the file is transparent or empty. I've seen empty jpg files before. Perhaps there's no image information in the file. Try getting another image file from the same source to see if the original is corrupted. Also try downloading another jpg file from a different source.
