Should we save New Orleans...again?

Why in the world would the Army Corps of Engineers decide to open the Bonnet Carre spillway? Why are we trying to save New Orleans again? Do they have any idea how many peoples lives they're destroying just to save that nothing town? What is in New Orleans to save? Let it fill up with water and debris and return it to swampland..
